A few weeks ago in a class taught by Erika Bach we looked at fly testes stained with, among other things, gamma tubulin. Today we needed a test slide for the Zeiss AiryScan, so I pulled it out of the refrigerator and here was our first try.
This shows different "strengths" of the AiryScan deconvolution. From left to right: 8,10, 10, 14.
We liked 10 the best, so here are a few centrioles reconstructed using 10:
Then we wondered if local contract enhancement and zooming up would help us see better.
